Kerrville Funeral Home has been a proud member since 2002, and has been a participant and recipient of the Pursuit of Excellence “Eagle Award” for three years, consecutive. Gene Allen served as a member of the National Membership Resource Committee in 2004-2005. |

The Texas Funeral Directors Association (TFDA) is the professional association on the state level that was first established by industry leaders in 1886 and has grown to almost 1000 members. TFDA puts you in touch with the most creative thinking in the funeral industry through personal contact, group meetings and publications, not only for those in the profession, but for consumers as well. The Texas Funeral Directors Association is committed to supporting it’s members as they strive each day to serve Texas families in need. Kerrville Funeral Home has been a member since 2002. Gene Allen currently serves as a director for the TFDA, South Central Region. |

The International Cemetery and Funeral Association promotes consumer choices, pre-arrangements and open competition. The organization is a major voice in all forms of our government when it comes to legislation, protecting client families and those serving in the profession. The promotion and ongoing campaign to educate consumers about the value of memorialization, remembrance, and pre-arrangements is of great concern, and ICFA offers information to providers and consumers alike about cemeteries, funeral service, cremation, and memorials. Kerrville Funeral Home has been a member since 2005. |

The Funeral Ethics Association was chartered in 1994 to promote and to advance the ethical practice of funeral service. As stated in its Constitution, "The purpose of the Funeral Ethics Association is to provide the public and the profession with a balanced forum for resolving misunderstandings and to elevate the importance of ethical practices in all matters elated to funeral service." The Association works diligently to educate funeral service professionals about ethical practices. All Funeral Directors at Kerrville Funeral Home are members, and have been since 2003. |

The Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice is committed to providing a voluntary certification program to funeral service practitioners that show families the funeral director’s commitment to exceptional service and life-long learning. The program is designed to set a Funeral Director apart from the competition and communicate a commitment to the families that are served. All Directors at Kerrville Funeral Home that are eligible participate in this very important program to enhance their ability to serve families in the most professional way. Gene Allen received his certification as a CFSP from the academy in October 2005. |

The American Society of Embalmers was established to promulgate and promote excellence in the 21 st century practice of mortuary arts and sciences. ASE was created to promote better quality technical skills through continuing education, a place to share ideas with others, and to provide a platform and atmosphere where common problems can be expressed and solution solved.
